Cherish

We enjoyed a nice long President's weekend together.  I'm sad because the younger munchkin will only be 2 years old for a few short days.  I'm trying to soak in all her 2 year old "ness" before she officially turns 3.  If only she could stay little forever.

a rough, but musical weekend

 Not very flattering picture, but I want to remember how she naturally always puts her tongue out to "eat" the snowflakes. No one taught her to do this, so it makes me laugh when I see her do it.  

 Munchkin occasionally asks DH for guitar lessons.  

 I posted a video on FB of this one.  She's such a little ham. 

Thursday the girls' school sent a mass email reminding parents to keep sick children at home.  

Unfortunately, we found out why that message was sent.  Munchkin #1 vomitted about 10 times between Thursday evening and early this morning.  Poor, poor child.  In between she managed to regain strength enough to pick up her pink guitar and make her classmates butterfly valentines.  We also got to visit my parents again. Please excuse the crazy outfits.   

thankful

I'm thankful for my mom making us dinner tonight (and much more of course), and I'm thankful for my dad who reminded my cousins and I at my grandfather's funeral to appreciate parents while they are still present.  I'm thankful for my dh who willingly and happily spent hours shopping and putting together some new furniture for my parents.  I'm thankful for my MIL who makes us dinner once a week, and happily comes to babysit when we need help (and does my dishes too!) I'm thankful for my SIL- who loves to babysit and loves our girls like her own and who randomly drops by and reads bedtime stories to give me and dh a short break.  I'm thankful for my cute little munchkins, who bring life and joy to every situation. I'm thankful to God for blessing me with a GREAT family.
